Private equity firm Vance Street Capital had recently announcd its acquisition of Lark Engineering had been completed last September 11, 2013. Lark Engineering is part of the overall acquisition of Secure Communication Systems. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Secure Communication is a company which designs rugged computer and information back-up systems. The company was acquired by Vance Street last October 2009. Lark Engineering on the other hand manufactures RF Filters for the commercial and industrial markets as well as military establishment.
According to Vance Street Principal Brian Martin, "Secure Communication Systems and Lark Engineering are great examples of our strategy to pursue growth through both organic revenue generation and acquiring strategic assets. Together these two companies will benefit from a number of advantages, including a broader product offering ans greater cross-selling opportunities."
There would be restructuring, as Lark Engineering would become one of the divisions under Secure Communications. Lark Engineering founders Fred and Nancy Bauer would reture from the firm by 2013's end.
