The largest mobile commerce platform to major retailers, Branding Brand, announced that it secured USD9.5 million in Series B funding. The funding was led by Insight Venture Partners with repeat investment from CrunchFund and Lead Edge Capital, along with new participation from eBay Enterprise. The total funding had reached USD17 million.
The investment would be used to scale sales, marketing and operations. After its Series A investment last year, the company experienced 100% growth achieved since inception and was named to magazine Inc 500 list. The company had since made key hiring decisions for its management team.
According Branding Brand co-founder and CEO Chris Mason, "We are growing our team, as well as our reach. With nearly USD1 billion in transactions running through our platform and our recent expansion into hospitality and transportation, it is a very exciting time."
For its part, Insight Venture Partners Managing Director Ryan Hinkle said, "We recognized the opportunity and vision for Branding brand earlier in the company's evolution and given their strong momentum, we are delighted to lead this new financing. The Branding Brand team has shown tremendous innovation and thought leadership in the rapidly-evolving world of mobile enablement."
