China's Huawei is one of the biggest telecoms network and infrastructure providers in the world. The company said that it does not have any acquisition plans because Huawei would not be able to integrate them. This was according to Deputy Chairman Guo Ping in a German paper Welt am Sonntag.
Ping is among three deputy chairmen who took turns in acting as chief executive of the company. Ping said Huawei would not push through with any takeovers after the newspaper asked whether he could imagine acquiring one of Europe's big players including Nokia or Alcatel-Lucent.
Last month, Huawei ruled out the possibility of acquiring another mobile phone maker. The paper also reported that Ping said it would be open to cooperation with another handset company. Deputy Chairman Ping also rejected allegations from the US Congress that the technology from Huawei might be used to spy on its users. He also denied the accusations by the European Commission that it would lower the prices of its products.
