Mobile analytics firm Flurry has bagged another USD12.5 million in new funding, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The said round was confirmed by a Flurry spokeswoman, according to TechCrunch.
The firm started out as an app developer. Later, it began moving its focus into analytics and utilizing its data for advertising. The company raised USD25 million in a funding round last year. At the time, Chief Executive Officer Simon Khalaf hinted at a potential IPO. In addition, Khalaf said Flurry had become cash-flow positive, the report said.
Flurry told TechCrunch today that 400,000 apps are using the firm's analytics products. The firm also said it has 20,000 monthly additions and is tracking activity from1.2 billion smart gadgets. Moreover, the company said it is working with 125,000 developers, the report detailed.
The spokesperson said Flurry had raised a total of USD62.5 million to date. However, the names of this round's investors were undisclosed, TechCrunch reported.
