San Francisco-based marketing automation firm Autopilot is launching a new Chrome plugin that helps marketers get up to 42% reply rate on their cold prospecting emails. Other sales and marketing prospecting tools traditionally generate between 1% and 9%, according to VentureBeat.
The tool called Prospect Ace is already being used by companies including as Voxer, Bosch, and Model N. The said tool helps marketers get live email for prospects they find on sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Quora, and Twitter. The plugin fills in the gap between sales and marketing and finds prospective clients for the user. Prospect Ace begins a query in the data system of Autopilot and produces an email for the target customer, the report explained.
Chief Executive Officer Michael Sharkey said: "Prospect Ace integrates into Autopilot. Just pick a campaign, drop the prospect right into the campaign, and he's now in my automated marketing campaign."
Prospect Ace can also be used to find people on LinkedIn or Facebook who have either followed or liked a rival company. The tool uses the data obtained to construct a prospect list. Alternatively, marketers can purchase data from Data.com, KISSmetrics, and other sources. However, this can be risky as the accuracy of the purchased data cannot be ensured. According to Sharkey, Prospect Ace provides more reliable data which can help marketers achieve better gains with proper use. Autopilot charges a minimum monthly fee of $199 for the said plugin, VentureBeat reported.
