Pharell William's latest single Happy had swept the nation after he performed in an intermission number at the World Indoor Bowls Championships. William's new single was said to have connected with the crowd who were under different age groups. Pharell even stole the show from Shaun "Barry From EastEnders" Williamson.

Happy had stole the British music scene as it has been played more than 5000 times a week on the radio. So far, the single had also sold more than 600,000 copies in the UK. The single had also become a viral YouTube hit. The popularity of Pharell's song has gone far for something that was never meant to be released as a single. However, its appeal to people of all ages had made its marketing scheme even more attractive.

The single was actually released by the Back Lot Music label in June of last year as a part of Despicable Me 2 soundtrack album. When Pharell signed with Sony Music, the track was considered to possibly appear on his new album. Meanwhile, Pharell's album is expected to come out later this year but no official release date was announced yet.
