Unlike other photo apps, Instagram updates come in the form of bug fixing and performance improvement. The latest update for the social media photo app for Android has been launched today on the same approach.
The company redesigned the entire experience to make its interface look nicer. Aside from the neat look, Instragram’s profile speed has been doubled to perform better. The update for the photo app was made to juice up the company’s global expansion.
Users would first notice the redesigned camera screen. The next thing you’d notice is the icon which is a best fit for the new iPhones released last September. After launching its app on Android, Instagram has kept most of the features that are available on the iPhone.
The Instagram 5.1 update does not include new features. The company refused to comment regarding how many users are sending Direct messages, a feature available on the photo app, but rather said that it is very happy on how the app performs, reported TheVerge.
