Harlem buildings catch fire on E. 116th St. Wednesday morning leaving it in ruins from a gas explosion.
One neigborhood resident said there had been a gas smell for weeks. She added tearfully 'We saw people flying out the window... Those are my neighbors." Others witnesses described a 'loud bang' and 'explosion'.
Metro- North service suspended service in both directions. The newly elected mayor of NYC de Blasio tended to the scene.
