Malaysian authorities confirmed photos of Iranian men on board MH370 were altered

Two men were identified to have boarded the missing flight MH370 last Saturday with stolen passports. The two, who were Iranian Nationals, went on board the Malaysia Airlines jetliner and were at first suspected to be terrorists. Later on, the idea of a terrorist attack which had the plane missing was dropped after the 19 year old Iranian was reported to leave Iran would be seeking asylum in Germany.

Photographs of the two men were released online hoping to find more information from internet users who knew these people. Pouria Nour Mohammad Mehrdad was said to meet his mother in Germany after fleeing from Iran. Meanwhile, the identity of the other Iranian on board the missing Boeing 777 was not yet revealed.

However, reports have been going around comparing the pictures of the two men. If you take a close look at the image shown above, you would notice similarities to what pants they were wearing, the position of their feet and even the size of their bags. This has ignited a conclusion to readers and viewers alike that the photos were edited.

After the issue attracted so much attention, the Malaysian authorities confirmed alteration on the said photos. For what reason? The authorities said it was not intentionally done.
