Day 6, still the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has not been found. Search and rescue operation efforts were conducted by Malaysian authorities along with at least eight other countries join the search for the missing Boeing 777-200.
Malaysian authorities defended their efforts even as they said on Wednesday that they were unsure regarding the plane’s direction when it went missing last Saturday, March 8. The flight MH370 left Kuala Lumpur International Airport past midnight and went missing after an hour. The jetliner carried a total of 239 passengers, two thirds of which were Chinese Nationals.
According to Chinese Foreign Ministry representative Qin Gang, "There's too much information and confusion right now. It is very hard for us to decide whether a given piece of information is accurate. We will not give it up as long as there's still a shred of hope."
The multinational search for the missing airplane was described by Hishammuddin Hussein, Malaysia’s Defense Minister, to be a complicated effort. This was after Malaysia and other countries who have joined the search were scouring an area of 35,800 square miles.
