Clarissa Dickson Wright died at age 66. Wright was part of the TV cookery show Two Fat Ladies with the late Jennifer Paterson.
Prior Paterson’s death in 1999, Wright had filmed three series of the cooking show with BBC. In a statement, her agent expressed sadness saying, "Her fun and laughter, extraordinary learning and intelligence, will be missed always, by so many of us.”
On Saturday, the barrister died at Edinburgh's Royal Infirmary. According to her agent Heather Holden-Brown, "Loved dearly by her friends and many fans all over the world, Clarissa was utterly non-PC and fought for what she believed in, always, with no thought to her own personal cost.”
In 1996, Jennifer Paterson and Clarissa Dickson Wright were brought together by TV director Patricia Llewellyn for Two Fat Ladies. This was after the two had been often spotted traveling the UK in search of good British food in their motorbike and sidecar.
