Fred Phelps, the founder of the Westboro Baptist Church has died just before midnight last Wednesday confirmed the preacher’s son. Phelps has not only been known in the United States but almost anywhere in the world with his virulent anti-gay rhetoric.
He was the preacher behind placards with “God Hate Fags” writings. He also said that natural disasters and horrors done by man like the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School were the punishment of God for society’s acceptance of homosexuality.
