A company in Minnesota has recalled some of its products that were distributed across the US, reported Fox2Now. This was after authorities discovered the presence of listeria in some of its product samples. Listeria is a type of bacterium that infects the body through eating contaminated food.

The Department of Agriculture in Minnesota said that there were no reported cases of illness from the bacterium. A report from Fox2Now added that Parkers Farm Acquisition has also cooperated with the investigation.

Parkers Farm had issued a voluntary recall of its products, reported Fox2News. Those who have bought these products have been urged to return or throw them away even ahead of their sell-by dates. Products that were confirmed to have been contaminated with listeria included Parkers Farm, Happy Farms, Amish Classic, Central Markets, Hy-Top, Win Schuler, Bucky Badger and Say Cheez labels.

These food items were sold in stores including Wal-Mart, Brookshire, Rainbow, Hy-Vee, Cub, Byerly’s, Whole Foods, Price Chopper, Costco, ALDI, Nash Finch, Lunds and Target.
