It has only been days after Gwyneth Paltrow announced ending her marriage with husband Chris Martin. However, Paltrow has been receiving pretty tremendous attention lately, not because of her marriage getting split up, but with a comment she made in an interview with E!
Paltrow said that her parenting job is much harder than those mothers who have regular desk jobs. This ignited uproar of sentiments from working moms. Paltrow, 41, said during the interview "I think it's different when you have an office job, because it's routine and, you know, you can do all the stuff in the morning and then you come home in the evening.”
The actress also added, "When you're shooting a movie, they're like, 'We need you to go to Wisconsin for two weeks,' and then you work 14 hours a day and that part of it is very difficult. I think to have a regular job and be a mom is not as, of course there are challenges, but it's not like being on set."
The hosts of the show Fox and Friends shared the reactions through emails and on Facebook of those who watched the interview. One viewer wrote, "Try being a single mom or dad and have to deploy to Afghanistan, Iraq or even Haiti. We don't pay our service members millions and a 14-hour day while deployed is considered a good day."
