Ebola outbreak in Guinea rapidly changing, death toll increases

By

Ebola viruses had been reported to have spread in West Africa. The World Health Organization reported that Guinea has already listed a hefty 103 cases with 66 death tolls. Most of the cases of the Ebola viruses were detected to have come from three southern districts. However, local authorities said that the country’s capital, Conakry, has already reported one suspected case and four other confirmed cases.

The death tolls listed four healthcare employees. The WHO also reported that health workers in Liberia and Sierra Leone are investigating suspected cases in these regions. WHO also added that there is a rapid change in the outbreak as numbers of suspected cases are to be confirmed or deny.

An alert level 2 has been issued by the CDC to travelers, warning them to make sure that precautionary measures are taken as the outbreak of the virus is rapidly changing. Travelers are advised to avoid blood and body fluids contact with those that are suspected and affected with the virus.
