Pharell Williams has definitely something to be happy about after being tapped as the new coach of The Voice season seven. A tweet was sent out confirming the news from NBC’s reality singing contest. The tweet posted on Monday read, "Okay, we can OFFICIALLY say it! WE ARE SO #HAPPY to announce PHARRELL WILLIAMS = #NewVoiceCoach for SEASON 7."
After the news broke out, another The Voice judge Adam Levine sent out a tweet that read, "This is going to be so fun. Welcome to the circus dude!" Levine has been a judge in the reality show in its last six seasons.
The next judges to sit on the other three empty red chairs are still left unannounced. The full lineup of the reality show’s coaches would be announced on a later date, reported EOnline.
But which three other musical superstars will be filling out season seven's other red chairs? The full coach lineup will be announced at a later date.
The Voice executive producer Mark Burnett said, "I am thrilled to have Pharrell come back to The Voice family, and this time...as a coach. Continuing in The Voice tradition of having the biggest and most current music stars as coaches, Pharrell fits perfectly."
