Diet sodas have been popular among Americans lately. This is because it can provide extra energy less the calories. However, new studies have come out saying drinking two cans a day could increase a person’s chance of getting heart problems, according to a report from RT.
According to a research from the American College of Cardiology, drinking diet soda along may not put a person’s health in danger. However a specific brand, Diet Pepsi, was mentioned to put a person at higher risk after having two drinks a day.
A woman who drinks more than two diet sodas a day were found out to be 30% at high risk to incur a heart attack. Scientists also found out that 50% of women having excessive diet sodas are prone to early deaths.
Meanwhile, other studies showed that diet soda can cause kidney trouble and gaining a lot of excess weight. Dr. Rasa from Rush University Medical Center Chicago said in an interview with Fox 32 News, “there is nothing good for the body” in reference to diet sodas.
