Sara Gilbert married Linda Perry on Sunday, reported The Huffington Post. The news on their marriage was confirmed by a spokesperson of the actress who told US Weekly. Among her guests were her co-hosts on “The Talk”. The Huffington Post reported that the couple is currently on their honeymoon.
Gilbert and Perry started dating in 2011. Last year, Perry proposed “the most amazing proposal ever”, according to Linda who disclosed the information over an episode of The Talk. Linda said, "She goes to her backpack and she pulls out these T-shirts and the first T-Shirt says 'will' and then puts on another T-shirt and it says, 'you,' then 'marry,' 'me’."
In September, Gilbert admitted her sexuality in the CBS talk show. She said that she already knew she was gay while dating Johnny Galecki in the 90s. It was only in 2010 that Gilbert decided to publicly open her sexuality.
Gilbert said, "I want to live a true life. Beyond that, we do often say things like 'it gets better' -- and it does get better. I have an amazing life, but there can still be a struggle with it, and that's ok. There can be a part of you that doesn't want to be different or feel scared. And that is more important than any of it."
