Hashtag #7MillionAndCounting is going viral on Twitter following yesterday’s deadline of the Affordable Care Act. System maintenance on healthcare.gov has caused delays for Americans who wanted to avail of the last minute enrollment. A prompt popped out saying the site should be available in a few minutes.
The site’s dilemma was finally fixed and today, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney made it official. There were more than seven million enrollees who have registered for the Obamacare. During a press briefing Caney said that the enrollment has finally reached 7,041,000 for the Affordable Care Act.
The figures did not include people who have signed up for an ACA before the midnight deadline. This also did not include the actual figures of those who have qualified for Medicaid. However, with the overwhelming number counted over the last minute enrollment, the overall number of enrollees must be really big prompting a viral trend on Twitter with hashtag #7MillionAndCounting.
How many young Americans were covered under the coverage of their parents? No figures were released yet.
