Journalist Anderson Cooper will not inherit the fortune of his mother. This was according to a report from NY Daily News saying Copper is not interested in his mom’s millions.
Cooper made clear that the family money won’t land on his bank account even as he is the son of Gloria Vanderbilt. Cooper’s mom is the heir to the New York railroad wealth. The cable news anchor said to Howard Stern during a radio program on Monday,"My mom's made clear to me that there's no trust fund. There's none of that."
Cooper also made his point clear when he said that he has looked at the fortune as a curse. He also added that he did not believe in inheriting the multi-million dollar fortune.
Anderson said, "Who's inherited a lot of money that has gone on to do things in their own life? From the time I was growing up, if I felt that there was some pot of gold waiting for me, I don't know that I would've been so motivated."
