On Friday, Thunder’s Kevin Durant has taken in 25 points for the team’s game against Oklahoma City. The game ended 111-07 giving the lead to Houston. However, Durant’s 25 points were at par with Michael Jordan. This made him among the fastest scorers in the history of the NBA league, reported ESPN.
The new record high of 28 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists during the game against Houston, has caused a trending topic on Twitter. The social media’s users have virally campaigned hashtag #DurantvsJordan following Durant’s taking a leap over Jordan’s recorded high. Durant has also been a five time All Star and was seen to be a popular candidate for the 2014 MVP title.
The Associated Press reported Durant saying, “We lost the game, that’s all I’m worried about, I don’t care. We lost.” Durant was more inclined with the loss rather than the new record high he set surpassing that of Jordan’s, reported NBA.SI.
