An updated version of the Windows 8 operating system is coming, reported Rappler. Microsoft’s newest 8.1 OS has been expected to come out on Tuesday, April 8. Windows 8 users must have the latest version otherwise featured updates and added security would not be available to access, said a report from Rappler.
Windows 8.1 is also known as KB2919355. The update was reported to be an “important cumulative security update” and a must have for everybody who uses the Microsoft software. Users would have to update their operating systems from Windows 8.0 to 8.1 prior to the security feature update. The new version would then take all non-security and security updates for the 8.1 OS.
Better mouse and keyboard controls are seen to tag along the 8.1 upgrade. According to Microsoft, “Close and Minimize buttons” would be ready when users move the mouse going above the screen. The update also pins the Windows Store to the taskbar making it easier to locate apps.
