Apple recently announced its iOS 8 during the Worldwide Developers Conference. The company promises the iOS 8 to be friendlier to developers and more revolutionary than previous operating systems. Here are the top features to expect from Apple's upcoming iOS.
Separate focus and camera exposure
In the past, adjusting the focus meant adjusting the exposure as well, sometimes leaving the user with undesirable photos. Users would try different angles and change settings in order to get a really good photo. In iOS 8, people can set the focus and then adjust the exposure by moving the sun icon either up or down.
Camera timer
iPhone users usually use their iPhones as their primary cameras for any event or situation. Not including a timer may have possibly led to the emergence of the popular "selfies." With iOS 8, you can now set a timer of either 3 or 10 seconds. There is a flash each second, so you have an idea of when the timer goes off. When the timer goes off, the iPhone will take a burst of photos.
Nicer notes
Ever thought the Notes application was too plain and corny to use? People can now add pictures or rich text to notes which can be very helpful to users.
Time Lapse Camera Feature
This allows users to capture photos over a certain period of time, like taking photos of the sun rising until it sets.
Quick Access Contacts
Multitasking in iOS 7 brought up a carousel view of the user's open applications. In iOS 8, Apple added recent contacts to the top of the screen - above the user's already open applications.
HealthKit
There will be an application called "Health," which is a card-based native application that displays information about calories burned, and steps taken by the user and similar health/fitness data. It can also gather details about distance ran and blood pressure.
