Apple's iPhone 6 will come with a new clever feature allowing users to differentiate between commands and applications just by touching. According to the latest reports, Apple will be including a haptic feedback function on the iPhone 6 that will vibrate differently depending on the surfaced tapped and the application accessed. More importantly, the new design and battery framework of the upcoming flagship will reportedly set new standards eventually killing the iPhone 5s.

According to analysts, the iPhone 6 remains promising as the market appears interested and anticipating of the device. In fact, the Motley Fool thinks that the upcoming flagship can drive unprecedented sales. Orders for the iPhone 6 will double at 68 million units initially compared to the iPhone 5s. The report did not specificy if the forecast involves either variants or just the phablet size. Regardless, the additional features surfacing make the handset more promising by the day.

For instance, the new haptic feature provides a range of vibrations allowing users to identify functions and apps instantly. The device assigns a different type of vibration for every part of the screen or for programs used. This will help users differentiate access points opening opportunities for more seamless or flawless operations.

To support claims that the iPhone 6 will be a completely different device from the iPhone 5 series, Apple obtained a patent grant recently allowing it to create all glass-based units. According to the US Patent and Trademark Office, the grant goes by the number 8,773, 848 entitled 'Fused glass device housings." The patent document describes the technology further:

"An electronic device [which] may have a glass housing structures. The glass housing structures may be used to cover a display and other internal electronic device components. The glass housing structure may have multiple glass pieces that are joined using a glass fusing process."

Similar to other patents, the technology may or may not be released although industry observers point out that Apple has the time and resources to incorporate the technology. The iPhone 6's screen already promises to be revolutionary with its sapphire glass and liquidmetal components. Adding a haptic or tactile feedback feature should be feasible for Apple.

Apple Insider also reported that Apple will be using a 1,800 mAh battery for the 4.7-inch variant and a 2,500 mAh for the 5.5-inch edition. According to Far East, this may provide 15% better battery performance and life than the iPhone 5s.
