The '19 kids and Counting' stars Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary yesterday.
Based on ABC News report, Jim Bob took his wife Michelle for a special lunch before they spend a night at home with their family. "I'm looking forward to 30 more happy years together," he told ABC News.
Although, the newlywed couple Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are busy celebrating 'Weekiversary', Jill did not forget to wish her parents. Jill wrote on Instagram, "Happy 30th Anniversary to the best parents ever! We love you! Derick and I share the joy as we celebrate our first 30 days together and look forward to our next 30+ years!"
Thirty years ago Jim Bob Duggar (19) and Michelle Duggar (17) recited their wedding vows in front of 200 family members and friends. Josh Duggar was born four years later followed by twins Jana and John-David Duggar. Today, the couple have 19 children and three grand children, reports duggarsblog.
Recollecting the memories of their wedding, Michelle said, "My wedding to Jim Bob almost 30 years ago was sweet and simple. We actually got married in the hallway of the building -- we had set up folding chairs to use as pews," reports TLC.
As per TLC, Jim Bob and Michelle cut off their wedding expenses and spent the money on their honeymoon. "Everything we did for our wedding was so inexpensive, but perfect for us. We wanted to spend our money on our honeymoon, which was our first time to be alone together," she said.
Michelle wore Jim Bob's mother's wedding dress and she prepared wedding cake as well as made bouquet using fake flowers. They decorated the hall with crepe paper and silk flowers.
