At the Hollywood premiere of the big-budgeted Greek epic film "Hercules," it was noticeable that the lovely Irina Shayk showed up in the red-carpet event without her football player boyfriend, Enstarz reported. The supermodel is currently dating Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo.
Instead, Shayk cozied up with her co-stars on the red carpet, including Dwayne Johnson, formerly known as The Rock in WWE and plays the titular character in the film. The 28-year-old actress plays Megara, wife of the Greek hero in the film.
The supermodel was a sight to behold in her skintight scarlet Alaia dress that at one moment, one would not think about the fact that the football superstar was not in the event to support his girlfriend's first foray into film.
In an interview with Vogue, Shayk talked about her first acting experience and of her muscular co-star. She told the magazine that said she enjoyed working with the WWE star.
"It was really great to work with Dwayne, he's very professional. He helped me a lot, just him being there, looking at me, really helped. I felt much attached to my 'husband' which made it easier for me. I'm not a professional actress; it's my first movie, so it was great to have that support."
According to Shayk, her role in "Hercules" was very important. She dubbed filming her death scene was the trickiest one to do.
"(My death scene was the hardest to film for me) because you have to lie in the ground and obviously you can't move, you can't breathe, you can't blink your eyes," she reasoned.
On the other hand, Shay had good words about Ronaldo, and was quoted by Enstarz on how "generous" the football player is, especially to family.
"People who love him, know a different side of him. He's generous, he's funny. He's just perfect, that's why I am with him," she had told The Sun then in an interview.
When Shayk was asked about her marriage plans with Ronaldo, who already has a son named Junior, the supermodel seemed reluctant to discuss the subject. She started veering into a topic that was not an answer to the question, and said, "I am trying to concentrate on books, I love Dostoyevsky, he's my favorite writer. I love Pushkin. I'm not knowing what people are saying."
