This year's Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic recently married long-time love Jelena Ristic in a private ceremony in the seaside Adriatic resort of Sveti Stefan in Montenegro. Jelena Ristic is also six months pregnant with the couple's first baby.
The wedding was completely a private hush-hush affair.
The local media reported that the guest and the staff present at the nuptials had to sign a confidentiality agreement. This prevents them from disclosing the details of the wedding.
However, the couple has agreed to sell the photographic rights to Hello! Magazine and the money would go to Novak Djokovic foundation.
Novak and Jelena are high school sweethearts and have been in relationship for more than eight years now. Ristic can be seen at many of the serb's matches and events.
Novak announced his engagement with Jelena last September. He dedicated his Wimbledon to his yet-to-be-born child and wife Jelena Ristic.
"I would like to dedicate this to my future wife and our future baby," Djokovic said. "I am going to become a father soon and it is the greatest joy in life.
Novak Djokovic said he "couldn't ask for more" after marrying his childhood sweetheart just days after winning the men's title at Wimbledon.
In an interview with Hello! Magazine, Djokovic said, "I was trying to be present in that moment and memorise it. I was focused on her, and her smile and our baby. It really was a perfect moment."
Ristic said, "I was very nervous and everything seemed a blur. I was seeing him through tears and immediately started crying when I saw him."
Hello! Magazine got exclusive rights over the photographs. It appeared in Serbia edition days after the wedding.
Novak Djokovic also shared a happy picture of the couple after a week on social media.
"Mrs Djokovic and myself are sending you one big #hug from Belgrade," he wrote on his Facebook page. "Thank you all for beautiful wishes! Last couple of weeks were the best weeks of our lives and now with new energy we are turning to new challenges!"
