Liam Payne is in love and he is not afraid to tell the world about it. The One Direction crooner showed his sweet side over at Instagram when he posted a picture of him with girlfriend Sophia Smith. The shot showed the couple smiling with Liam captioning it "Me and the most beautiful girl in the world :)", Reveal.co.uk reports.
The two are childhood friends who went to the same school in Wolverhampton. They started dating last year though rumors circulated around May that the duo split after a series of cryptic tweets from Liam. The news was immediately proven wrong, however, after the pair were spotted immediately after.
But what are the thoughts of One Directioners about this news?
There are speculations that Sophia may have been receiving nasty messages from Liam's fans after he posted a number of tweets about people saying mean things to each other. Mstarz showed a few them which said "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all tbh I don't have time for people being out right nasty for no reason..." and "Morning everyone please don't be sending hate to people that's never what I want to sit here and watch arguments all day so let's calm down."
Whether the rumors are true or not, the couple showed their solidarity after they went to a yacht trip at St. Tropez with a couple of friends. Tongues of fans went immediately wagging, however, after photos of the singer smoking and drinking beer circulated in the internet.
Kpopstarz spills though that what really sent his supporters talking is the fact that the One Direction heartthrob seems to be sporting some extra pounds more than usual. This could be blamed on the star's supposed frequent partying which came to light after the 20-year old has been spotted at night clubs more than a couple of times.
But while there are those who criticized Liam's paunch, some of his fans are quick to defend him as well. His supporters showed their love to him in Twitter by saying "Who ever is calling @Real_Liam_Payne fat y'all need to step back chill out an look at yo selves for real shits not cool y'all #LiamIsNotFat".
