Kris Jenner reveals son Rob Kardashian gained over 75 pounds in one year; Is it because of Lamar Odom?

Weight gain is perhaps a normal problem for people who are beginning to get conscious about their physical selves or are currently battling health issues. Celebrities tend to get more depressed about their weight gain, and are usually a trending topic especially if the stars who have been reported to gain weight are used to be known for their fit selves. As such, almost every other celebrity employs a team of fitness and health instructors, or are very religious with their exercise routines.

The Kardashian siblings, for example, are known for their fit, svelte selves. Considering the fact that their fame is banked on mostly their obsession with selfies and having a fabulous lifestyle, a family member could easily get out of place.

Enter Rob Kardashian.

According a Hollywoodlife.com source, Rob is not in a good place right now because of his weight gain. To fans of the family's reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," it was obvious to everyone that Rob was absent during the A-list spectacle that is his sister Kim's wedding to Kanye West.

"He was embarrassed to go to the wedding in the first place because of his weight gain and to be ridiculed by Kim and basically rejected has put him over the edge. The Kardashian family prides themselves on looking absolutely fabulous and the fact that they would choose looks over family is simply appalling," the source said.

In an episode of "Keeping up with the Kardashians" published by Enstarz on its website , Kris Jenner talked about the weight gain of her son. Addressing her stepson Brandon Jenner, she said, "Rob wants to be a little bit private. Over the course of the year, he's gain 75 pounds. It's devastating. Robert isn't in a strong place."

Kim, on the other hand, reminds her family to exercise "tough love" on Rob, and emphasized that the family, particularly Khloe, had been extending help to their brother for the longest time. She told the cameras, "Khloe wants to fix everything and fix the situation but she can't. I think I'm just a little bit more of the tough love kind of person. My personality is like, 'You complain you don't like it. Get up and do something about it.'"

Citing multiple sources, TMZ said Khloe's extra sympathy to Rob stems from the fact that her brother had taken a liking to her former husband, basketball star Lamar Odom. When Khloe and Lamar split, the basketball player reportedly went radio silent on the family. The split had purportedly affected Rob, who has been looking to Odom as his father-figure ever since his biological father Robert Kardashian died in 2003.
