LeAnne Rimes, Eddie Cibrian in denial about their luxury life? Mag says home used for new reality show is not theirs

Couple LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are the latest celebrities who have decided to open their doors to the public via reality television. The two are the newest stars of their own show on VH1 called "LeAnn & Eddie." Rimes has expressed her hopes for the show to "dispel misconceptions about their romance", Enstarz reported.

But a report by Star magazine said that the couple would also need to clarify another misconception, which is about their financial state, RumorFix reported. The magazine said in its Wednesday article that the $5.2 million home in Malibu shown on their television show is not really theirs, and that they do have a home that looks more rustic and old, insinuating that the couple aren't swimming in money as they project to be.

A rep for Rimes has since confirmed the allegations, and said that the reason behind hiring a home solely for the reality show was to protect Cibrian's two boys with his former wife, Brandi Glanville. Glanville is also a reality star and can be seen on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." The rep explains that the couple wanted to protect the boys' privacy and would not want to disrupt their lives as the pair film for their reality show.

It is known to many that Glanville's separation from Cibrian had not been amicable, and that she has accused Rimes of stealing her husband away from her.The Grammy winner has been defending herself and her husband from the extra-marital allegations, and insisted that the two had gotten together purely out of love.

Rimes recently opened up to Fox News and said that she did not imagine herself and her 41-year-old actor husband to be part of an unscripted show. She told the news outlet, "Eddie and I are the last people that I'd ever think would dive into a show in the unscripted world, but we wanted to work together, honestly. We wanted to be able make fun of everything that has been the soap opera that people have written about our lives. Producers Scott and Deirdre Gurney and VH1 realized what kind of show we wanted make, which was based in comedy-'cause it's how Eddie and I are, anyway. We wanted to poke fun at some of these crazy rumors and give insight as to who we are. We are normal people who have feelings, and are navigating life just like everyone else does."
