Singer-songwriter Robin Thicke and actress Paula Patton are now allegedly headed for divorce. According to TMZ, the two are now putting up their Los Angeles mansion for sale and that a lawyer has already been hired to work on the couple's separation of their assets and finances.
Robin Thicke has been caught up with multiple cheating scandals in the past year. This included the "butt-grab" incident with a mystery girl that was snapped after the MTV VMAs party. Hollywood Life said the incriminating photo showed that while Thicke is innocently hugging a fan, a mirror reflected that his other hand appears to have grabbed the woman's. Ahead of the photo incident, Thicke had also performed with Miley Cyrus, and that infamous twerking of the "Bangerz" singer against Thicke's crotch was one of the most cringeworthy television moments.
Another infidelity claim of the singer getting cozy with a blonde beauty after his performance at Club 79 earlier this year had also surfaced, International Business Times reported. There were pictures released of the blonde woman putting her arms around Thicke's neck and whispering in his ear. The pair are also seen to have been inseparable while they were on the dance floor.
The couple had confirmed their separation in February this year. Mstarz quoted a joint statement the couple released to People magazine, which read, "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."
Despite the singer's countless efforts to win his wife back, which include the launching of a studio album dedicated to his wife aptly titled "Paula," Patton seemed to be unfazed by the efforts. In addition, The Christian Post said that the couplehad officially put up their 3,158-square-foot Los Angeles mansion for sale for around $3 million.
Thicke seemed confident back in 2011 that he won't need a pre-nup.
"I definitely didn't need one, cause my wife earned more than half of everything that I have, but I do believe in some relationships aren't equal financial relationships. It's hard to think now, if I met someone new that I would be able to go into the relationship without that and I'm a romantic and wouldn't plan on marrying someone that I didn't plan on being with forever or wanted her to have half of everything I have including my heart and my soul," he explained in one interview.
Apparently things had not worked out swimmingly, for Thick at least.
Thicke and Patton were actually teenage sweethearts back in 1991. They were married in 2005 and had a son, Julian Fuego.
