Kate Upton, one of today's most famous supermodels, recently talked about why she has not yet posed nude.
Her reason? The internet.
In an interview with Details, the 22-year-old model and actress said, "Your body is art, your body is beautiful, and to be photographed in that way is amazing and it's received in a very positive way."
She explained, however that with the internet (social media and the "not-so-great blogs" out there), she does not think that her pictures would be received that way that she would want them to be.
"I really appreciate those photos and I think those women are beautiful, but I think social media and the Internet has prevented me from putting myself out there like that," she added.
Upton is a big user of social media (Twitter and Instagram). She has not posed nude, but she has posted a number of alluring photos--one of which includes what looks like a topless selfie she posted on her Instagram site in July.
In the Details interview, she also talked about the direction of her continuously growing career. When asked her what she thinks about being considered by many as a "bombshell," she said: It's where I've started and it's what I've accomplished, so I'm happy about it. But more my career grows, I think that people will see that I have a lot more to offer and a lot more to give, but I want to do it right and that's why it's taking me time. I'm patient about it."
At 22, the Upton has already achieved so much, and she's showing no signs of slowing down. She is a regular Sports Illustrated cover girl, and she has just finished promoting the movie "The Other Woman" with co-stars cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann.
She has also appeared on the cover of many high fashion magazines, including Vogue, and is signed up to be the new face of Bobbi Brown cosmetics.
