Bridal stylist Desiree Hartstock and banker Chris Siegfried, the couple from the ninth season of "The Bachelorette" are gearing up for their big wedding day.
No wedding date has been released yet, but there's been a lot of progress. Desiree, for instance, just had her bridal shower.
According to a report by Us Weekly, Des celebrated the bridal shower with fellow Bachelor alumni Ali Fedotowsky, Daniella McBride, Jackie Parr, and other girlfriends at the Lombardi House in Hollywood on August 3.
"We don't have a date yet but Chris and I have some dates in mind so we're trying to find a venue," The bride-to-be told Us Weekly. "[We're planning on] California because my friends are here and the weather is way better than Seattle! We won't have to worry about rain and we like the idea of getting married outdoors," she added.
Chris also said that they are planning on doing it sometime in January 2015. They also plan to make it intimate, as they're only planning on inviting only about 125 people.
"I think I want it to be more low key than people are expecting - a small ceremony - and just the essentials. I'm just excited to be designing my dress!" said Des.
The designer of the said dress that Des is collaborating with is Maggie Sottero. They are reportedly working on two dresses: one for the ceremony, and another for the reception.
The Seattle-based couple hot engaged in August year, after Des accepted Chris's proposal. Before proposing, Chris met Des's family, and asked her father if he could propose to her daughter.
Chris and Des are not the only Bachelorette stars who are tying the knot. Josh Murray and Andi Dorfman are also currently engaged, and are planning on getting married in Spring 2015.
ABC has not given any announcement if the wedding will be televised, but the couple said that they're up for it because their story unfolded with millions of people watching.
