Jennette McCurdy disses Ariana Grande on "What's Next for Sarah?" episode; The Nickelodeon star wanted more money, while Grande may have been secretly wishing for end of "Sam & Cat"

Following Jennette McCurdy's naked pictures scandal, which apparently led to axing the show she co-starred with Ariana Grande, the Nickelodeon star has allegedly dissed Grande in her web series entitled What's Next for Sarah? On the other hand, Grande is getting even more successful with her impending performance for the MTV Video Music Awards.

According to Hollywood Life, former Sam & Cat star McCurdy seems to be dissing her co-star Grande, who is making waves through her music career. In the new episode of the web series, McCurdy's character, Sarah, is in therapy after having her show cancelled and her relationship ended. Hollywood Life seems to think this is similar to McCurdy's life herself, and things seemed a little less fictional when McCurdy's character meets a "girl with huge hair and pretty floral dress." The new girl, given the name "Gloriana," enters the scene singing and "segues into music video ideas," according to Hollywood Life.

As to the reason why McCurdy might do this, Hollywood Life talks of an exclusive earlier this year where a source confirmed McCurdy wanted to be given the same respect as Grande had. Apparently, McCurdy also "wanted more money."

If McCurdy is jealous of Grande's music career, she has a right to be, with Grande receiving three VMA nominations for "Problem." Grande is up for Best Female Video, Best Collaboration, and Best Pop Video, according to HNGN.

The site also says that Grande will be opening the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards. On top of that, the singer has two additional performances.

Grande may be moving on from the axing of Sam & Cat better than McCurdy, with KpopStarz saying that Grande may have wanted to get out of the show for a long time. The Nickelodeon star was quoted: "It was a blessing and one of my childhood dreams come true. For a long time I was attached to a character that was nothing like myself. It was a little frustrating." The 21-year old actress also called herself "dark and deranged" as opposed to her character Cat Valentine who was "cute," which Grande thinks people also see her as.

In The Wall Street Journal, Grande also said that she never considered herself an actress. "Even when I did the TV shows I thought, this is really just a stop on the road." The singer will be releasing her new album "My Everything" soon.
