Vin Diesel is everywhere lately- especially given his role in "Guardians of the Galaxy," which is currently breaking box-office records left and right.
But Diesel hasn't forgotten where he came from, and the franchises that first propelled him toward stardom. Of those, perhaps the biggest would be "The Fast and the Furious" (now shortened to "Fast & Furious"), which has a new film coming out next summer.
And one of the stars (not Diesel, though) of the "Fast & Furious 7"- Ali Fazal- has just given out new info about the film.
Fazal, who plays a new character to the franchise, told IBN about how his character fits into the seventh "Fast & Furious" film.
"It's not an Indian part. It's essential to the script which is why I got excited. My work is with the entire gang. It was exciting to work with Vin Diesel and all. We all grew up watching it...lot of action and cars," said Fazal.
Later, the actor added something extra:
"I don't even have a car yet. I am looking forward to buy one. I can't give that out yet. It's sports version of something. There are few cars that make sports version," said the actor.
According to Enstars, Fazal's part is not very crucial to the story (although Fazal claims he is "essential," which may mean he has a very small, yet very important role), but he may be a part of Diesel's street racing robber team.
Diesel himself, however, might not be in such great shape. An interview with "Live with Kelly and Michael" (via KpopStarz) has the actor still grieving over the loss of his friend and co-star Paul Walker.
"It's a heavy thing, Michael. You know?" said Diesel. "I grew up in the bouncer world, and we lost people while we were bouncing. But the brotherhood in Paul Walker was something completely different."
Later, Diesel said, "It was someone that we ... we grew up in the business together, and we became famous together, and we represented the biggest franchise together." Diesel also said, "He was my partner, and it's a strange thing to ... I've been acting all my life and they don't teach you in acting, how to mourn someone and simultaneously pretend they're in a scene with you."
Hopefully, filming the rest of "Fast & Furious 7" without Walker wasn't too painful of an experience, for Diesel or for any of the other cast and crew.
