"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" draws closer and closer to its February 2015 release date, and to celebrate that, developer CD Projekt Red have released a massive new gameplay video for the game.
The video, which clocks in at a staggering thirty-seven minutes (plus one second,) shows off the game's story, gameplay and its stunning fantasy graphics, all narrated by the developers to tell us exactly what's going on.
But that February date might actually be up in the air. International Business Times has the game's release date as February 24, 2015. Which, as far as we know here at Venture Capital Post, is still accurate. But a competing piece in Street Wise Tech claims that the release date is "yet to be confirmed."
We may need another confirmation from CD Projekt Red to know which of these reports is truly accurate. According to Street Wise Tech's reporting, the potential delay may be due to flaws in the game's open world design. According to their sources, the game's director noticed a flaw and changed the schedule around.
The director "saw that there was something missing with the open world, he and his team decided to change the release date and work on what was missing."
The lead designer Peter Gelencser, also desribed the open world to International Business Times during the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles last June:
"The phenomenon, the experience of discovery and stumbling upon things, I get to create something and test it, play it, and if I get the same feeling from revealing a large part of a dungeon, or seeing a large city, I can compare the feeling of that to the same feeling I had as a kid. In a way, all those old games were a great inspiration."
According to The Epoch Times, there will also be a massive collector's edition coming for the third "The Witcher" game. All we need now is to know just when it's coming out.
