"Switched at Birth" will reportedly feature an upcoming Christmas special episode, Enstarz said. According to the news report the special will tackle on the premise that Bay Kennish (Vanessa Marano) and Daphne Vazquez (Katie Leclerc) had actually been born and given to their biological parents.
A sneak peak of the episode was released last Monday showing what the main characters' lives could have been. The clip shows Daphne saying that she can hear. While the girls were hugging their mothers, they suddenly look at each other while talking in sign language that read, "The switch never happened."
The clip left viewers speculating on the upcoming episode, Enstarz said. Fans are expecting to see a lot of fun on the next episode and are excited to see what life the two girls would have if Daphne wouldn't have hearing impairment while Bay would have been the one teaching sign language to Daphne. Moreover, it would be riveting to watch how Daphne would thrive in a rich family with two parents and a brother as Bay spends her childhood in a rundown neighborhood, with a father who leaves the family.
Entertainment Weekly said that the last episode of "Switched at Birth" let us saw Daphne coming into her own after that criminal act of vandalism that would have destroyed whatever chances she had for a career in medicine. Moreover, tt also showed Bay facing a future potentially without Emmett, after chucking plans to live with him in Los Angeles by owning Daphne's fault, essentially landing her jail time.
Variety said that the ABC Family series has already been renewed for a fourth season, which is good considering that there are too many loose ends to be tied by our favorite sisters from different mothers. In a statement then, ABC Family president Tom Ascheim said about the renewal of its number one basic cable series in the key female demographic, '"Fans will be clamoring for season 4 and to know what happens with Daphne and Bay after the season 3 finale next week."
"Switched at Birth" Season 4 is slated to air some time in January 2015 on ABC Family. Meanwhile, check out the teaser for that exciting Christmas special below.
