"Insurgent" actor Ansel Elgort dishes on what viewers can expect from the "Divergent" sequel and promises more screen time for "darker" Caleb Prior. Elgort describes the new film as darker and venturing more into the characters.
Christian Today talked about Elgort having a one-on-one interview with Hollywood Life where the actor apparently said that the production of the second "Divergent" film is different from the first. According to Elgort, "It is like 'Divergent' but a little bit darker and less introductory." Elgort also said that "Insurgent" will be more about the characters.
The star who acted alongside "Divergent's" lead Shailene Woodley in the adaptation of Young Adults best seller "The Fault in Our Stars" also mentioned a change happening in Caleb, particularly in his relationship with sister Beatrice. According to the actor, "Caleb gets a little darker. The relationship between Caleb and Beatrice, you know, they butt heads a little bit. It is an interesting movie."
According to Christian Today, Elgort also teased that Caleb will have more screen time in the second installment. The actor said he has been shooting three times as many days in "Insurgent" as he did in the first movie. "I will be around a lot more," Elgort claimed.
Moreover, Elgort spoke about Shailene Woodley's character, Tris/Beatrice changing. In Elgort's own words: "Beatrice is more badass so she is going to kick ass a little bit more and there will be a lot more stunts."
More insight about "Insurgent" will be shown when its trailer first hits theaters, and according to Business Recorder, that might happen in November alongside the release of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" in the big screen.
eanwhile, fans who want to see the two movie franchises on TV will have to tune in to TNT, as it has allegedly struck a deal with Lionsgate for the rights to air "The Hunger Games" and "Divergent" on the small screen, says KDramaStars.
