From receiving her first kiss at her wedding two months ago to announcing her pregnancy, Jill Duggar-Dillard sure moved fast for a practicing Independent Baptist. The 23-year old "19 Kids and Counting" reality star has recently spilled the good news on socia media that she and husband Derick are expecting a baby.
US Magazine spilled that the newlyweds are absolutely "thrilled" about it this new miracle. After TLC announced the news, Enstarz reports that the couple posted a photo on Jill's Instagram account which showed the couple embracing as Derick holds a pair of white baby shoes gingerly. She wrote a caption for the photo, which read, "We're expecting!! So grateful to God for this new little blessing! #babydilly #firsttimeparents #sogratefultoGod #derickdillard #jillmdillard."
The mom-and dad-to-be also shared how they found out about the news to In Touch Weekly. Derick told the magazine, "When we found out we were pregnant, we were actually at Jill's family's house. She took one of her mom's pregnancy tests and we waited until the next day to tell everyone."
Though there has been speculation about Jill possible breaking her celibacy vows since the discovery about her pregnancy was so close to their wedding date, the reality star clarified suspicions and said that she got pregnant less than two weeks after she tied the knot with Derick. In a statement, she also said that she wants to leave everything to God when it comes to the number of children they will have.
She was quoted as saying in an ABC News interview back in April, "Both of us want as many kids as God will give us and we've talked about adoption. My parents kept popping them out, so we'll see how [my] fertility is!"
Jill is the fourth oldest among the Duggar clan. She has two older brothers, one of which is already married, an older sister, and 15 younger siblings.
Though the couple had a whirlwind romance that merely lasted three months, married life seems to be going well for the reality sweethearts. Jill and Derick were reportedly introduced to one another by the Duggar patriarch himself, Jim Bob Duggar, and continued to have a long-distance courtship while Derick was away for mission work.
"We knew within days that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Love Derick's desire to follow God and to serve others. Derick is so romantic," Jill said.
