As reports are circulating that "The Vampire Diaries" will be airing its last season on television, it has been speculated that producers of the vampire drama series might be tapping its spin-off show "The Originals" to help ensure that they would be leaving the show with a bang. KPopStarz that with the possible crossover between the two shows, many are positively responding and secretly hoping that Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan, will get the chance to share screen time with his real-life girl friend Phoebe Tonkin, who plays Hayley in "The Originals."
Ssince they started dating in September last year, there have been no public display of affection captured by the paparazzi between the two television stars. That is why according to TooFab, the photo taken of them together during the San Diego Comic-Con weekend, as they were both in town to obviously promote their respective shows, was exceptionally rare.
However, Tonkin decided to be a bit more open about the couple's privacy when she shared an Instagram snap of her and Wesley sharing what appears to be a delicious to-go meal, Fashion & Style reported. The actress simply added a simple caption to the photo, which read, "Farmers Market," to the delight of "TVD" and "Originals" fans everywhere. Both appeared relaxed for the photo occasion, as the actress wore no makeup, dressed in dark clothes but was wearing a bandanna to keep hair strays out of her beautiful face. Wesley donned shades, but broke into a shy smile for the cameras as he holds the meal they will be sharing together.
Without giving away to much, "TVD" and "Originals" producer Julie Plec said that a crossover was definitely happening, and was quoted by KPopstarz in her Entertainment Weekly interview on what fans would expect. She said, "It looks like we are going to be able to do a crossover in the first half of the season, and I can't tell you what or who or when because it hasn't been shot yet, but things are looking good."
