The hit vampire TV show "The Vampire Diaries" is set to return to television screens for its sixth season this coming October and a lot of people are excited for it to come back. The show's finale last season promised that they are going to fill the latest installment with a lot of twists that will shock all the viewers.
Among them, according to Christian Post, would be the potential romantic TV pairing of Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder). The report said that the show has already shot the photos that they are going to use as the promotional photos of the latest season. This development would no doubt shock fans of the show, considering that in previous seasons, characters involved in the love triangle was just Damon, his fictional brother Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) and Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev). On the other hand, given the fact that both Damon and Bonnie have been trapped in the Other Side and are trying to find their way back to the human world, the journey itself will bring them closer.
TVGuide said that the executive producer of the show, Julie Plec, has teased that the viewers will know more about where the two of them are really going and it will be revealed at the end of episode 2. Plec also opened up to E!Online that a lot of viewers are going to be happy about the Damon-Bonnie storyline that they will offer on this latest season.
She said, "You'll see enough of them to make you happy and more as it goes along. They are by no means going to be off the air for six months. The mystery is where are they, what happened, are they dead, not dead, and what the hell are they going to do together, those two of all people?"
