Ridiculous Rumor of the Week: "Amazing Spider-Man 3" May Start Cloning its Dead Characters [SPOILERS]

By

We are years and years away from seeing "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" in theaters. And with so much time to go, the rumor mill is working in overdrive- churning out bigger and more ridiculous possibilities for the next "Spider-Man" film every day.

Here's the latest- and it is a doozy. According to Fashion & Style, the third "Amazing Spider-Man" film will feature the return of Emma Stone- which may come as a surprise to some, given that her character was gruesomely killed off.

Now, we've reported on this here at VC Post previously- a month ago, we took a look at another rumor, that Gwen Stacy was potentially in the running to play Mary Jane Watson. But this rumor is even odder.

Still, it has some semblance of truth, given that Gwen Stacy has been cloned before in the comics. Fashion & Style adds that the character of the Jackal, who normally gets involved in cloning and genetic experimentation, has cloned Gwen Stacy back from the dead before.

And given that most of the villains from "Spider-Man" are already taken for the "Sinister Six" spin-off, Jackal might be one of the only options left.

Also adding to the "maybe she will be cloned after all" pile is a video interview with ScreenRant, where Emma Stone alluded to a possible cloned storyline.

Check out the video below:

It might sound a little ridiculous, but this is a comic book movie, and comic book movies are not known for their strict stance on realism. Except when "The Dark Knight" is concerned, of course.

So what do you think? Is there a chance Emma Stone might be back in the next film, or is this all a bunch of nonsense? Leave a comment below, or share your thoughts on social media, and let us know.
