Episode 5 of "The Walking Dead: The Game" Episode 5 has been released, to the dismay of many critics.
Dave Thier of Forbes wrote in his piece," If you played and enjoyed the first season of The Walking Dead, the second season should scratch a similar itch, although it is feels weighed down by the need to stay true to its roots and push forward into a more open structure."
Game Central for Metro said, "I thought the finale of this season was terribly contrived; one, normally quiet and aloof character, suddenly decided to become antagonistic towards an overtly volatile character. There was also a scene involving two, normally benevolent characters, who tuned into treacherous swines - apparently on a whim."
But one bright spot was Clementine, one of the main non-playable characters in the adventure video game. The character is described in the series as a black, 8 year-old girl who was forced to join a group in order to survive in the zombie apocalypse.
Aaron Sirois of Diehard Gamefan said that playing Clementine was a lovely turn in the game. Her voice acting reportedly sound mature and confident but keeps that child-like edge to remind us that she is, after all, a kid amid the apocalypse. TDN.com said the storytelling in Season 5 showed how good a character is Clementine to be included in the game.
If fans are asking whether Clementine's story would be continued in "The Walking Dead: The Game" Season 3, TellTale Games had since confirmed the installment on its Twitter account. This was also seconded at this year's San Diego Comic-Con by Robert Kirkman himself, the creator of "The Walking Dead." Although there were no details provided at the trade conference, it has been suggested that the new season would be released later next year or early 2016, KPopstarz said.
