As Prince Harry approaches his 30th birthday on September 15, there has been much talk about what he and his brother, Prince William, stand to inherit from their mother, the late Princess Diana. The Telegraph said that one of the things the royal brothers stood to inherit is their mother's iconic 1981 wedding dress.
The wedding dress, which was designed for her wedding to their father, Prince Charles, is a historical piece of clothing due to the opulence of it. David and Elizabeth Emanuel had made the gown with thousands of pearls, silk layers, and has a 25-foot train.
Diana reportedly bequeathed the wedding dress to her two sons, but is currently being "looked after" by her brother, Earl Spencer. The wedding dress, which is currently exhibited at the Spencer family estate in Northamptonshire, will be handed down to the brothers as soon as Harry turns 30.
Aside from the wedding dress and the other items that belonged to their mother, the prince also stood to inherit around $16.5 million that is currently in a trust by the family, the Los Angeles Times said. William also inherited his sum two years earlier.
Harry's inheritance and his status in the military easily makes him the most eligible bachelor in the world to date. Considering the fact that his brother is happily settled as a husband to his wife Kate Middleton and father to Prince George, people are now looking as to whether Harry would be following his footsteps soon. Since news first exclusively reported by US Weekly about him getting serious with his new squeeze Camilla Thurlow. The two recently took a cruise ship with just a few of the royal prince's pals in late August. Although it is unlikely that Diana's wedding dress would be worn again, there is no doubt that Harry is being pressured about settling down.
Sydney Morning Herald quoted an E! News source, who said, "This was supposed to be Harry's last summer of fun before he turned 30 and got serious and settled down."
