Former child star Raven Symone, known for classic shows such as "The Cosby Show" and "That's So Raven," has come a long way from playing the lovable and witty Olivia to being one of the richest actresses under 40 years of age. While some kid actresses lose their way and end up in tabloids, Symone has pursued to return to school to get a degree. Her latest posts on Instagram easily reflects her preference for art education.
Perez Hilton reported last May of this year that Symone shared via her account that she is a full-time student at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. She made the revelation by also debuting a pastel-colored hairdo with the caption "My last Friday in la before I start my life as an #oncampus student! New hair for a new life! #hellyea."
Although her absence in Hollywood, especially on television, was felt, her Instagram account has been her way of updating fans and followers of her crazy and busy life. Symone has been delighting everyone by posting photos with her former co-stars, baby pictures and selfies of her just being the cool girl that she is. Two days ago, she posted a photo of herself dressed up as Charlie Chaplin, complete with a drawn-on moustache. She decided to revamp the look with red lipstick, arched eyebrows and a sassy expression. She also posted a photo of herself with a different hairdo three days ago, this time sporting jet black hair teased upwards and spiky. In the photo, she is seen carrying her dog named "Foo" on her right arm. Her floral crop top that exposed her stomach also accentuated the slim physique of the normally full-figured Symone.
The 28 year-old liberties from the usual Hollywood starlet route might have been due to her sexual preference. On August 23, the actress had "come out of the closet" at the time when same-sex marriage laws has been relaxed. She wrote then, "I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you" last August 2013.
Although Symone has been coy about her sexual preference, the Twitter "admission" came at the time when rumors about her breaking up with "America's Next Top Model" contestant AzMarie Livingston had surfaced after a year of dating. Mstarz reported that the alleged couple broke up that same year. Symone has been spotted with upcoming singer Ari Lennox in New York City recently, but the actress has remained mum about the issue.
