NBA Rumors: The Phoenix Suns plan to keep Goran Dragic from leaving next year in free agency by signing his brother Zoran Dragic

By

If Eric Bledsoe decides to sign the qualifying offer this off-season, the Phoenix Suns know that the move risk not only losing Bledsoe next summer in the 2016 NBA free agency but his dynamic back court duo Goran Dragic as well. Dragic will garner plenty of attention when he becomes an unrestricted free agent next summer and numerous teams will surely do their best to steal the NBA's Most Improve Player away from Phoenix.

The Suns though, have a plan to keep Goran Dragic for good and that is by signing his younger brother Zoran Dragic to the roster. Blood is thicker than water as they say and Goran wouldn't probably leave his little brother all alone in Phoenix even if it means playing for a lucrative contract for another team next summer. Thus the reason why the Phoenix Suns are seriously considering signing Zoran this summer per ESPN's Marc Stein:

Sources here in Spain told ESPN.com this weekend that the Phoenix Suns are indeed among the three NBA teams expressing the most serious interest in signing Goran Dragic's younger brother Zoran.

And signing Zoran after this World Cup, sources say, is indeed an option Phoenix is pursuing, which would be a move that offers potential short- and long-term benefits for the Suns in their fight to hold onto Goran Dragic with unrestricted free agency looming for The Dragon in July 2015.

Zoran is the second best player in the Slovenian National team in this year's FIBA World Cup tournament averaging 13.5 points a game on 53 percent shooting overall while shooting an impressive 45 percent from three. The pairing of the Dragic brothers has given Slovenia one of the most potent and entertaining offenses in the tournament.

"We can share the court and maybe do some damage [with the national team]. And hopefully someday we can play each other in the NBA." Goran Dragic told ESPN.com

Goran's hope of playing alongside his brother Zoran in the NBA may soon become a reality because the Suns know that their best chance of keeping him next summer in the free agency is by signing his brother to the team. And besides, as what Michael Saenz of Sir Charles In Charge points out, "The only thing better than watching the Goran and Zoran Dragic show on Team Slovenia during this FIBA World Cup would be watching the Zoran and Goran Dragic show in the NBA."
