Ray Rice's wife, Janay, broke her silence about the incident that led to her husband's termination from the Baltimore Ravens and indefinite suspension from the NFL. Janay blames the media for taking away their happiness. Meanwhile, Ray Rice also spoke to CNN and ESPN correspondents, saying that he has to be strong for his family.

Janay allegedly feels like she is mourning for a close friend's death, shares Click2Houston. This is after the termination of her husband's contract from the Baltimore Ravens and with experts speculating that his NFL career may be over. Janay spoke through a lengthy Instagram post which was Tweeted by news outlet, 99.1 WNEW, where she said that they will "continue to grow & show the world what real love is," relays Washington Post. However, Janay's post was not just all positive.

According to The Guardian, Janay and Ray both regretted the incident and looks at the surfacing of the video that led to Ray's suspension from NFL and termination from Baltimore Ravens as a horrible nightmare. The article also states that Janay blames the media for exploiting the incident and ruining Ray's career.

Janay's Instagram post continued: "To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret everyday is a horrible thing. To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass off for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific." The Guardian's article added that Janay claims the media have "succeeded on so many levels" in hurting and embarrassing them. Ray Rice's wife also added that their happiness has been taken away because of the incident.

As for Ray Rice, USA Today reports Rice communicating with ESPN and CNN. Rice allegedly told ESPN's Josina Anderson that he has to be strong for his equally strong wife. "We are in good spirits. We have a lot of people praying for us and we'll continue to support each other. I have to be there for (Janay) and my family right now and work though this," Rice said. CNN's Rachel Nichols also shared in a tweet that he has been texting with Rice. Nichols' tweet had Rice saying he is holding strong for his family.
