Apollo Nida is going to jail- the husband of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star, Phaedra Parks (does that make him a "Real Househusband?") had previously been convicted of multiple fraud counts quite a while ago.
The only issue- Nida doesn't want to go to jail just yet. The reality star was required to report for his eight-year prison sentence on Wednesday, by noon. And by noon, he was definitely not in jail.
Instead, Nida was at his wife, Parks' house. According to a source, who spoke to CNN (but refused to be named), Parks had refused to deposit a sum of money into his prison account before his sentence began. This caused Nida to fly into a rage and disregard his appointed deadline, driving to Parks' house and causing, in the words of Parks' publicist, "an incident."
Luckily, we have TMZ to do the dirty work and find out just what that incident was.
According to their sources, Nida broke into Parks' home and began screaming at her, about the money and about the fact that she didn't want to take their children to jail to visit him.
TMZ even has a quote from Nida:
"What the f*** is the matter with you. I don't give a f*** about the police, call them, I dare you."
Apparently, the police currently have an arrest warrant out for Nida. Not surprising, is it?
Chances are, Nida will be found and begin serving his time shortly. Although he could also go on the run, which would probably mean massive ratings bumps for Bravo and their "Real Housewives" airing.
The New York Daily News also reported that Nida had been sentenced and was already serving his time, though they may not have updated their story since CNN's report.
Check back soon for the latest on all this incredibly messy "Real Housewives" drama.
