'Parenthood' Season 6 Spoilers: The Bravermans to bid farewell to a family; Julia moves on from her failed marriage and gets a new love interest

The sixth and final season of "Parenthood" will start airing this month. The new season of NBC's TV series will run for 13 episodes and according to reports, the season will see some drama and even a farewell.

In an interview with TV Line, the show's producer Jason Katims suggested that one of the Bravermans will die in the upcoming season. "We've never told a story about losing someone in the family, and that is a very difficult story for us to tell." Katims told TV Line. "But it's one that I feel is a reality."

Kristina (Monica Potter) was in remission from breast cancer but from what was hinted in the previous season, Zeke (Craig T. Nelson) probably has had symptoms of a heart problem.

During the end of last season, Julia (Erika Christensen) and Joel (Sam Jaeger) were shown to be on the process of working on their marriage. However, it seems like the couple would end up parting ways with Julia deciding to move on.

"It's Joel who's trying to get back into Julia's good graces. It's about refining Julia, who decides to move on with her life," shared Katims.

Christensen's character will be back to work and will meet an old college boyfriend played by Coby Ryan McLaughlin.

Meanwhile, "Parenthood" released a video teaser that shocked many fans of the family drama last last month. The video revealed that Amber (Mae Whitman) is pregnant with Ryan's (Matt Lauria) baby. It can be recalled that the season finale showed Amber buying a pregnancy test kit, leaving fans wondering whether or not she is pregnant.

The recent promotional video finally revealed that Amber is indeed pregnant as it showed Whitman's character in a doctor's office looking at a sonogram.

Moreover, in another interview with TV Guide, Katims revealed some details about the upcoming season's storyline.

"We wanted to have a strong central story that would bring everybody together, that would touch everybody in the show," said Katims. "I felt like the one thing that was sort of similar was [Kristina's] breast cancer story line in Season 4, but I think that this one has the weight of that, but will actually even be more impactful on the entire cast."

"Parenthood" Season 6 is scheduled to premiere on Sept. 25 on NBC.
