The sixth season of the adult animated series "Archer" is currently in the works, and according to reports, it will be ready for an early 2015 release.
In an interview with The Daily Beast, series creator Adam Reed revealed some details about what's next for Sterling Archer (voiced by H. Jon Benjamin) and the gang.
"Archer is going to end up taking baby A.J. and the toddler Seamus on a covert mission for hilarity to ensue-trying to break into the CIA, but he's got these two babies in tow. That will probably happen somewhere in the middle of the season."
Reed also dished out where Archer and the group could possibly lead to after the last season finale. "The human body, Marlow! "Fantastic Voyage" is what I'm thinking. Our epic finale this season could take place within the bloodstream of a nuclear scientist," said Reed.
The series creator also announced that new characters and guest stars are coming. "We have some new characters coming in, too. We're going to meet Pam's sister, who will be voiced by Allison Tolman from "Fargo," and a couple of others, but nobody's signed a contract yet so I don't want to jinx it-but we've got some great guest stars this season. And Barry the Cyborg will be back. Jakov, however, is dead."
Meanwhile, during the recent San Diego Comic-Con, attendees were treated by the "Archer" panel to the first screening of the season premiere.
According to Spinoff Online, the episode starts with Sterling Archer in a motel room, seemingly groggy from hardcore drinking, awakened by the ringing of a phone. His mother, Malory is calling him telling about a CIA freelance mission. The mission involves the retrieval of an American spy plane from the jungles of Borneo.
The premiere episode shows the agent dumped into the dense jungle, meeting a Japanese soldier from WWII. Archer completes his mission and goes back to the newly renovated headquarters with Malory and Lana waiting to harass him.
According to KpopStarz, "Archer" season 6 will most likely premiere sometime in January 2015.
